What I have discovered through working with others when using the process is that the method allows you to slip into an alpha state of mind gently and simply. An “alpha state of mind” is what scientists associate with “right brain” activity, or our subjective senses of imagination, creativity, memory, and intuition. When you are actively awake, you are typically in a state of mind known as Beta, with brainwave activity between 14 and 30 HZ. When your brain wave activity slows down to between 7 and 14 HZ, you are said to be in an alpha state. The state helps to create a “relaxed” state of mind that allows you to be more:
- less critical of yourself
- less likely to sabotage your results
In history, Edison, Einstein, and many other brilliant minds, considered a daily ritual of accessing an alpha state of mind essential to the discoveries that in time changed the world we live in. As you will become aware, we will be incorporating meditation into the process and as you read on you will discover more about the power of combining EFT Tapping with a meditational process. A recent survey came out of people in Britain that found a very disturbing trend which shows that the average pensioner 65 and over, is on an average of five medications and that some people were even on over 20 medications. You may need a medication. I’m not in any way putting down what goes on in surgeries, although they do get bonuses currently in the United Kingdom for prescribing drugs.
We do sometimes need all those things, but we need them in context and we need alternatives when applicable and beneficial to the patient. Countless clinical trials and case studies have been undertaken and have helped to prove the effectiveness of Tapping and on your overall well-being. Continue reading
More recently I have been drawn to more scientific concepts using theories based on brain science, in that when we touch points on the face or body, we are interfering with the neurological processes of the brain and sending messages that we are safe.
As you think about a negative thought or replay an emotional event in your mind, the touch sends a signal to the brain to say that you are safe in this moment of time, this then stops the neurological connection from happening in the brain and peace is then returned and the negative thought is dissipated. The New Tapping Points Explained
Traditional tapping that you may have used before or come across in some way may well be outdated and although still effective at getting the job done, still uses points that are no longer required and may take up much of your time in practicing and learning, and are not necessary to bring about the healing you require.
Evolution is an important factor in the development of any successful process and growth is key to its development. With Heart Centred Tapping we have evolved new tapping points and the following explains what they are and why they are used. So, let’s look at the points that we use in Heart Centred Tapping and the benefits according to acupuncture and acupressure. Continue reading
How Tapping Works
There are two different schools of thought when it comes to research as to why the tapping points we use on the body are so effective. It has often been the opinion of many, including both Roger Callahan and Gary Craig, that the Acupuncture points we use have a connection with energy flows through meridians or channels in the body known as Qi energy, like blood flowing through the body. Qi (chi) energy flows through this meridian or energy highway, accessing all parts of the body.
Meridians can be mapped throughout the body; they flow within the body and not on the surface. Meridians exist in corresponding pairs and each meridian has many acupuncture points along its path. These concepts come from traditional Chinese medicine or TCM. Continue reading
