S.A.D Seasonal Affective Disorder.

This can be an issue at so many levels, causing all kinds of limitations for the sufferer, including wanting to sleep longer and not getting out of bed as energy levels drop and depression creeps in.

My views are a little more radical around this issues and I don’t claim to be an expert but the clue to the problem itself.

Breathing and Health

In Chinese Traditional Medicine it is believed that 80% of illness is caused by poor breathing.  What constitutes “poor breathing”?  As our brain controls our breathing we don’t have to think about it at all as it happens automatically, with the result that we give our breathing very little thought in our daily lives.

As you are probably aware when we become anxious or nervous our breathing becomes very shallow, depriving us of oxygen in our blood, resulting in an increase in anxiety.  Harnessing and controlling the power of our breath can improve our health, reduce anxiety and stress, boost energy, boost our immune system, increase concentration and help relieve pain. I have been watching another episode of the dog whisperer today and it always intrigues me how well he tunes into the energy and the psychology of dogs and changes aggressive dogs into lovable, healthy and stable pets.
